Gene Hackman hit the police for beating a homeless man

Hollywood actor Gene Hackman was brought to the police station on Tuesday after hitting a homeless man who verbally abused a celebrity’s wife.

The heartbreakers, Superman and Tenenbaum Family lost patience after the man approached his wife Betsy Arakawa and threatened her in an aggressive manner.

Police confirmed that the 82-year-old actor pounced and hit the man in the face after he called Arakawa a derogatory nickname and made a couple of sudden movements.

Despite such a young age, the actor managed to protect his other half from an unpleasant person, as it later turned out by the name of Bruce Becker.

Becker reported the incident to the police, but after the interrogation of Hackman, no charges were brought against him. The blow was counted as a slap in the face and defined as a need for self-defense.

Gene Hackman - a famous American actor, in January he will turn 81 years old. He is the owner of 2 awards and 3 Oscar nominations, 3 awards and 5 Golden Globe nominations. However, the last film with his participation was released 7 years ago - in 2004, "Welcome to Elk Bay."
