It would seem that everyone knows that the use of expired cosmetics can result in serious health problems. But practice shows that there are still women who use expired products.
The largest British department store Debenhams conducted a survey among their customers and found that 57.7% of women were in no hurry to throw out expired cosmetics from their cosmetics bags, believing that this would be wasteful of them. But such greed can lead to infections, including eyes, and skin rashes.
Lisa Brett, representing Debenhams, considers it unacceptable that so many women put their health at risk, and once again reminds: it is impermissible to forget about the shelf life of such products. According to statistics, 73% of women do not. They don’t even know the expiration date of their cosmetics. Even if they are only half consumed, they need to be disposed of, not the temptation to use to the end.
The survey showed that one third of women use eyeliner, which is already more than a year. 22% more than a year do not part with a tube of foundation. As for the shadows, 7% of the fair sex keep them for six years or more, while the official shelf life of such products is 12 months.
Such savings are expensive. Instead of struggling with skin problems, it’s enough to clean up your makeup bag and update the collection, since the choice is huge.
