Elizabeth II presented unusual gifts to the Pope

During her visit to Italy, the Queen of Great Britain Elizabeth II and her husband met the Pope for the first time. The meeting was held in a very warm atmosphere, the crowned couple and the pontiff exchanged gifts.

So, Elizabeth presented Franciska Balmoral whiskey, gathered in the garden of Buckingham Palace honey, a dozen eggs and jams. In addition, the pontiff was presented photos of the royal family in a beautiful silver frame.

For his part, the pope presented a magnificent lapis lazuli globe with a Catholic cross as a gift to Prince George, and medieval parchment to William and Kate.
